Episode 7: Ascendio 2012

It’s a very special TFA Episode this week as we focus on the Harry Potter convention Ascendio 2012. We’ll take you deep inside the con with discussions on Muggle Quidditch, Chris Rankin’s (Percy Weasely) Q&A, the Quill Track and JC’s Wardrobe malfunction. We’ll also interview facebook cosplay legends Perseus and Draco LePage, hosts of Ascendio 2012’s Fashion ball.

We’ll also talk a little Artemis Fowl in Rita’s Reading Review and we’ll give you the scoopage on Doctor Who at San Diego ComiCon.

We’ll wrap it up with our review of True Blood episode 6 – Hopeless.

It’s a big episode but we bring you the very essence of one of the best Harry Potter cons we’ve attended.

Pardon me for asking what might be a stupid question, but what exactly does the term starkids mean? I’ve never heard of that term before.

So this group of young musical performers (think Glee) put together a production that they put on YouTube called “A Very Potter Musical” which apparently was a hit with a significant portion of the HP Fandom. They followed it up with a sequel called “A Very Potter Sequel” which apparently also became a hit.

They’ve used that popularity to push their brand at HP Cons and let’s just say, LeakyCon seemed to be more about them that Harry.

Sorry…the group is called…StarKid…I’m sure you got that but I just wanted to make sure I was clear. 😀
