JC De La Torre (Star Mage, Ancient Rising, Continuum Force)

JC De La Torre is a comic book writer and fiction novelist who lives in Wesley Chapel, Florida – a suburb of Tampa. His first comic series, Star Mage, will be released in 2014 and there are also plans to turn his previous written works into the sequential art form.

De La Torre has written two well reviewed novels, Ancient Rising and Rise of the Ancients – Annuna, as well as Nightmares from Eberus – A Speculative Fiction collection. He has also released to e-book the novellas for Continuum Force and the Serial Vampire series.

He is also co-host of the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror podcast Transmissions From Atlantis.

De La Torre is a columnist/blogger for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blog site BucsNation.com. Previously, he served as a featured columnist for Bleacher Report on Tampa Bay sports, an editor and featured columnist for SB Nation Tampa Bay covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Gators, wrote for NFL.com’s Blog Blitz and contributed to Pewter Report, one of the top magazines on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

De La Torre is married to his lovely wife, Rita, and their family consists of their Yorkshire Terrier, LeStat, and their two cats Artemis and Marius.

JC has a passionate love for sports writing, speculative fiction writing, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Alternate Realities, and the Occult. His scripting will include all of these sub-genres as well as other interesting excursions. JC is also an avid Whovian (Doctor Who fan).

JC’s work features action, adventure, horror, Sci-Fi, a bit of the supernatural and essentially something for everyone.

The illustrator of StarMage #1. He’s an artist and writer in comics, film, video games, trading cards and anything else he can get into. Franco Cespedes (Star Mage)

An illustrator from Costa Rica, Franco is an accomplished artist with numerous credits in the indie comics world including Black Jack Press’ Rustlers, Badlands and his own creator owned projects, Asusto and El Hallazgo.

In 2006, Franco formed his own animation company, Quinema Animation Studio, dedicated to digital advertising and animation developing original content for entertainment. He worked there as art director and senior animator. In 2010 he developed the animation series Chotico Costa Rica, which was broadcast on Costa Rican National Television and received rave reviews.

josepharnoldJoseph Arnold (Ancient Rising)

Joseph Arnold had wanted to draw comics for most of his life, encouraged by his parents to follow his passions. Though right out of high school, feeling the call of adventure, he enlisted into the US Army and served as an airborne infantry soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division for 5 years. Upon the end of his active duty time being now a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, he signed with the Colorado National Guard while under the persuasion of his amazing wife to attend the Art Institute of Colorado to earn his Bachelors in Media Arts and Animation. His passion is comics, though he has done several animation projects. He is focusing now on comic books and illustration work.
